West Ham’s Post-Declan Rice Era: A Promising Journey

Life after Declan Rice for West Ham has been more than favourable, as the Hammers sit in the top half of the table with just two losses in eight matches. Success in Europa League group-stage matches has seen manager David Moyes earn heaps of praise for continually improving the East London side.

Good sides that are not a part of the traditional “top six” in the Premier League always face the risk of being scouted for their top players. It is the inevitable production of having good players but not enough financial power to keep the good players. Declan Rice’s move to Arsenal this summer is living proof of that for West Ham. One player in particular was gaining traction as an option for other Premier League sides, but it looks as though those links can now be put to bed. As The Top Flight had covered, both Liverpool and Newcastle were circling in on making a move for West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen should he not have decided to extend his stay at London Stadium.

Jarrod Bowen Commits to West Ham with New Contract

Great news for the Hammers is that Jarrod Bowen has signed a new long-term deal with the club. Fabrizio Romano exclusively reports such information, stating that Bowen was keen on being a key figure in the club’s project moving forward. Bowen’s current contract was due to expire in 2025, but now West Ham fans can relax on any worry of his situation.

Jarrod Bowen has started this Premier League season off with six-goal contributions in seven matches. His impressive performances have earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the October international window. Having joined West Ham in 2020 from Hull City, Bowen has integrated himself as one of the most important players in the entire squad for David Moyes. With his contract situation sorted, the English winger can now focus on helping the Hammers lift the Europa League trophy this season.

McTominay’s unique blend of skills, physical presence, and goal-scoring ability could provide a new dimension to Manchester United’s attacking options, potentially making it a viable solution to their goal-scoring woes.
