Liverpool predicted lineup

On Thursday, Liverpool will be hosting their Europa League match at Anfield Stadium against Union SG. Here’s the expected Liverpool lineup for the game.

Goalkeeper: Caoimhin Kelleher – The backup goalkeeper, who performed well in the previous Europa League fixture, will continue in this match. Alisson, the world’s best goalkeeper, is likely to be rested for this game.

Right-back:
Stefan Bajcetic – He was part of the starting eleven in Liverpool’s first Europa League match and is expected to retain his place in this game. The Spanish defender was subbed off in the previous match for tactical reasons.

Center-backs: Virgil van Dijk – Van Dijk is a consistent presence in the lineup, especially in European competitions. He provided an assist in the recent victory against Spurs and is a key player for Liverpool. He is expected to start in the Europa League match.

Ibrahima Konate – This selection isn’t a criticism of Matip, who unfortunately scored an own goal in the last match. Klopp might use this opportunity to rest Matip and give Konate some playing time. The French defender performed well in the recent Europa League fixture.

Left-back: Kostas Tsimikas – Tsimikas is likely to start in this match after his good performance in the last Europa League game. This competition provides Klopp with a chance to give Robertson some rest and rotate his squad.

CM: Ryan Gravenberch – Still yet to push his way into the starting eleven, it will be another opportunity for the summer signing to impress his new manager. Gravenberch will be given a second consecutive start in the Europa League since he bagged an assist in the last match.

CM: Wataru Endo – Another midfielder who was signed in the summer transfer window, this seems to be his level. While there’s no shame in it, Endo has more of a chance to push for the first team in the cup competitions and Europa League.

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – A player who is at his peak right now, it seems unjust for Jurgen Klopp not to start the Hungarian, even in the Europa League. For Klopp to maximise his chances in this match and bring the points total up to six, he will be more inclined to start Szoboszlai than any of his competitors.

RW: Diogo Jota – Given that Diogo Jota was shown a red card which cannot be appealed, he will face suspension. However, it doesn’t apply to UEFA competitions. Therefore, Klopp will show solidarity with his player by starting him in this match, a move which Liverpool fans will certainly be in favour of.

ST: Darwin Nunez – Cody Gakpo seems to be the striker of choice for Liverpool at the moment, but Darwin is certainly a top quality striker and he will take advantage of opportunities like this in the Europa League. Let’s not forget, he was incredible in the first Europa League match for Liverpool, scoring an important goal and bagging an assist.

LW: Luis Diaz – Off the left will be another goal scorer from that match against LASK, Luis Diaz. Known as Mr Reliable for his consistent attacking returns, he’ll be hopeful to grab another one in this match. Klopp will certainly trust him.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Union SG: Kelleher, Bajcetic, van Dijk, Konate, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Endo, Szoboszlai; Jota, Darwin, Diaz
